Leaving people better, bolder, stronger & wiser!

Hello, Thrivers!
It’s Spring Time! Can you believe we’re almost at the halfway point of 2025? Time is marching forward, and whether you’re feeling triumphant or tired, today is the perfect time to pause, pivot, and power up for the second half of the year.
This week, I want to talk about momentum—that often unseen yet powerful force that keeps us moving toward our purpose. But momentum doesn’t just happen. It must be nurtured, protected, and sometimes restarted. So, let’s have a heart-to-heart about how to refocus and rise when your goals feel distant or your energy feels drained.
First up, don’t get caught in this question for too long “You were running well, who hindered you?” Galatians 5:7
1. Reflect Before You Reset
Take 15 quiet minutes this week to sit with your journal or voice notes or a trusted friend/family member/mentor/coach. Ask:
- What have I accomplished so far?
- What didn’t go as planned—and what did I learn?
- What am I most proud of, even if no one else sees it?
Honest reflection is the fuel for authentic momentum. We don’t rise by denying what hurts or hiding what’s hard—we rise by naming it and learning from it.
1 Corinthians 15:58 (NIV):
“Therefore, my dear brothers, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.”
2. Reclaim the “Why”
When you feel stuck, it’s often because you’ve lost touch with your why. Ask yourself:
“Why did I start this?”
“Why does this matter to me?”
“Who am I becoming through this?”
Let your purpose speak louder than your problems. Your “why” is the anchor that steadies you when the winds of doubt or delay try to pull you off course.
Matthew 4:25 (MSG):
“More and more people came, the momentum gathering…”
3. Reignite with One Bold Step
Momentum doesn’t return through thinking—it comes through action. What one bold, brave, or even tiny step can you take this week?
- Send that email.
- Open the notebook again.
- Make the call.
- Say the prayer.
- Set the boundary.
Start where you are, use what you have, do what you can—and trust that your forward motion counts, no matter the pace.
Nehemiah 4 is captured in this quote: “When things are going well, get ready for trouble, because the enemy doesn’t want to see the work of the Lord make progress.”

A Word for the Weary: Rise Anyway
To anyone who feels behind or burned out, I want you to hear this: You can start again, and it’s not too late. Sometimes thriving looks like resting. Other times, it looks like crawling forward with tears in your eyes. But every day you choose to rise—whether in silence, surrender, or strength—you are winning.
Personally, pivoting is essential. Use what has you in a quagmire to reshape how you think, what you respond to and the new actions you will embark on. Too often we operate without our sail and the storms reveal more chaos but it also sets a clear PATH.
Philippians 3:14 (NIV):
“I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.”
Tanisha’s Takeaway:
“Momentum isn’t magic—it’s made.
Made in the quiet.
Made in the mess.
Made in the decision to keep going.”2 Samuel 5:20 “The LORD has broken through my enemies before me, like a breakthrough of water.”
Let this be the week you reset your rhythm, reclaim your purpose, and rise into the next half of the year with fresh clarity. You’ve come too far to quit now. Remember, momentum is “force or speed of movement.”
Until next time—
Stay better. Be bolder. Grow stronger. Walk wiser.
Love and blessings
